Carbon-neutral community plan for RAF Coltishall site

Developers of the old  750-acre RAF Coltishalll airbase are proposing a £9bn investment in a carbon-neutral community. Plans involve converting the old runway in to lake sprouting wind turbines and surrounded by luxury waterside homes.

Richard Davis, the Norfolk born developer who’s idea this is sees 10,000 homes and 2,000 jobs would be created in the self-contained sustainable community.

Mr Davies now has the financial backing from the bank and has formed a new company called Coltishall Group plc with planners Barton Willmore.

Currently Immigration and Nationality Directorate are looking at converting the site it into an immigration detention and removal centre.
